Auditions for accepted local singing competition 'The famous person' kick off this weekend in Chester County

The winners of the competition get a cash prize and performance opportunities.

CHESTER COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Do you dream of a recording profession? Is singing your passion?

in that case, you might have what it takes to be "The megastar."

a well-liked, local singing competitors is returning to Chester County and auditions are being held this weekend!

this is the third season "The megastar" is shining a highlight on ability across the Delaware Valley location.

it's the brainchild of native musician and song instructor Danny Murphy.

"here's their launching pad," Murphy says of the contestants.

"We want to see them succeed and turn into our native 'famous person.' but the conclusion intention is for them to be a major megastar that we are able to all comply with continuously," Murphy brought.

Auditions are this Sunday at the The Gem Spring metropolis Speakeasy from 12 p.m. to eight p.m.

There are two divisions: eight to 17-year-olds and 18 and up.

You get one tune, one opportunity to galvanize the judges.

"choose the 60 seconds it's going to display your surest vocal," Murphy says. "We need to see the display-stopping numbers, we are looking to see some thing you could function for the massive executive producers of 'American Idol.' it's what you are bringing to us."

The competition kicks off subsequent month.

The winners get a cash prize and performance opportunities.

Murphy also helps the contestants get entrance-of-the-line auditions on 'American Idol.'
